How it works

1. Export from your bankDownload transactions as CSV from your internet banking. Every major bank offers this.
2. Drop it hereStatementShift reads the file locally, auto-detects your columns and shows a preview so you can confirm dates and amounts look right.
3. Import to your booksDownload Xero CSV, QuickBooks CSV or OFX and import it. Done in under a minute.

Private by design

Bank statements are sensitive. Most converters ask you to upload yours to their servers. StatementShift does not: the entire conversion runs in JavaScript on your computer. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the network tab, and convert a file. No transaction data leaves the page.

Frequently asked questions

Is my statement really not uploaded anywhere?

Correct. The file is read with your browser's FileReader API and converted with JavaScript on this page. There is no server side component to the converter at all. You can confirm with your browser's network inspector.

Which formats can I download?

Xero bank statement CSV (Date, Amount, Payee, Description, Reference), QuickBooks 3-column and 4-column CSV, and OFX 1.02, which is accepted by QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, GnuCash, Quicken and most other accounting tools.

My bank's CSV has separate Debit and Credit columns. Supported?

Yes. Map the Debit and Credit columns and StatementShift combines them into a single signed amount, with money out as negative.

Which banks does it work with?

Any bank that exports CSV. Column names are detected automatically, and you can adjust the mapping by hand. It has been tuned for ANZ, ASB, Westpac, BNZ and Kiwibank exports in New Zealand, plus the common formats used by Australian, UK and US banks.

What do dates like 03/04/2026 mean in my file?

Ambiguous dates are the number one cause of broken imports. Choose DD/MM or MM/DD under "Dates in file" to match your bank, and pick the output style your accounting software expects.

How does the Pro license work?

One payment unlocks Pro in this browser via a license flag, with batch conversion and saved mappings. It is a launch-period mechanism: licenses will move to accounts later and early buyers will be migrated free.
